Romantic Boato hotel
This place is a must..it is amazing...the views are breathtaking. The hot tub and fire pit set off the scenery with perfection..I great romantic get away..perfect for family or solo too. The staff was top notch! The food was fantastic!
The weather in colombia..near guatape is amazing..but in winter months it gets cold at night..so they could use a portable heater...oddly enough from 11 am to 5pm it's very hot and boato hotel suites are made of wood and iron/steel..so it's super hot when you return from excursions...its not that big of a deal but they need atleast portable AC units available...and they need transportation for people who don't like walking up some of the steep hills..but outside of that...this place was amazing...

Boato: Charming private setting in a relaxed environment
What a fun little getaway! My view from my deck was the serene Guatapé reservoir. I was nestled in woodlands and it felt like I was in a magical universe at night when the stars came out and I soaked in my outdoor spa. We went kayaking and the staff was very accommodating setting us up. They would come on request to build a fire in the evening. Very responsive staff!
The biggest issue was closing my shades on the wall of glass to keep out the sun (no a/c) and coming back later to find them open after housekeeping. I simply asked for no service.

Exceptional
The Lares are wonderful: they are fully equipped with everything you need for a private stay and everything is very clean. The jacuzzi in paticular was amazing! The staff were incredibly helpful. The views from the site are amazing. We thought the food was reasonable for the price. Great breakfast with lots of choice. The kayak we rented for free seemed fairly new.
